There is rarely dramatic news in smaller communities, so the local newspaper keeps up a valiant effort to keep its community informed on local issues, no matter how small. It aims to tell the truth, and is above all loyal to its community.

Election Day is indeed upon us. For some, election season can seem like a whirlwind of confusion and misinformation. We get distorted news from media outlets pandering to ideologies. Our inboxes are flooded with absurd and sometimes outlandish chain letters and e-mails from friends and family members who want to “inform” us on the true natures of the candidates and issues.
