One week after the alcohol-free programs held by Scholastica and Memorial Dorms, and just hours after the Ferrell Hall Pub Night, a BC student was taken to the local hospital for alcohol poisoning.

“Pub Night” success for Ferrell |

Ferrell and Legacy Halls hosted a pub night on Friday, February 13 from 9 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. in the O’Brien Lounge in Ferrell Hall to promote community and responsible drinking. The event included two kegs of Boulevard Wheat and Fat Tire beer. Brian Bickford, Residence Director of Ferrell Hall, estimated that 200 students attended and said the event was a great success.

Every child deserves a voice - a way to communicate their needs, their hopes, and their dreams. Mariah is a little girl who struggles daily to overcome a neurological disorder that impacts her ability to speak. Two years of speech therapy that began shortly after her second birthday brought little improvement in her speech skills although her desire to communicate was apparent to anyone who had contact with her. A breakthrough finally occurred but in a most unexpected place. Here is Mariah’s story. |

Many students who come to Benedictine College participate in a twenty- year old program called Totus Tuus, an organization that started from Pope John Paul's motto 'totus tuus,' which means totally yours. It occurs in the summer with camps and retreats that help kids have a clear understanding of their faith.
